The Captain’s Bathroom

Pfister Venturi Giveaway

The Captain’s bathroom needs a makeover so bad it hurts! Honestly, no one makes bath and kitchen fixtures as well as Pfister.

Arrg, weigh anchor and hoist the mizzen, let’s check this out…

Two ways to enter:

I answered the survey. It was 3 pages and didn’t take too long. I did choose to leave honest comments as I felt that they would actually be read by a person on the other end. I liked the survey process (simple and clean). It did not prompt me to like their Facebook page but once I looked at the page, I liked it so much I actually DID “like” it.

I admit it I’m a sweeps virgin at this point, I believe thoughtful answers on surveys mean something.

Books Books Books

Give-away books, sweepstake books and advanced copy books. Book loot is the best kind of loot! I love to read and my book budget is only so big.

My favorite place to win directly from the authors would be WriterSpace. You’ll find tons of different books and assorted gift cards to apply for. Go to page two under contests and it won’t look so overwhelming.

Yes, I subscribed to everyone of the links on the list. My computer remembered all the fill in the blanks once I typed the first letter in each line. I did notice a variety of rules from some authors which make sense.

Most important of all:

Enter only one time per month per email. Yes! This is what I want, an equal fair shot for everyone.

The Never Ending Sweepstakes – Coke

I’ve decided to take advantage of Coke Rewards. The biggest advantage here –  I don’t have to feel like I’m playing the lottery. All you need to do is enter in your Coke codes (found on their packaging).

PRO:

soda points

  • options – I like options
    1. buy entries into their sweepstake items
    2. give your points to charity
    3. save them up and just buy cool stuff
  • simple to sign up with
  • You can enter in about 75 points a week. If you’re addicted to soda, or someone you know can grab the points off the coke cases in the break room you’re good to go.
  • you don’t have to feel like you’re playing a lottery unless you want to
  • ongoing – they always post new stuff to win

Cons

  • I admit it. I don’t like their activities for winning “status”. Bronze, silver and gold levels (depending mostly on how many friends you want to irritate in your social networks) are painful. Can’t we keep this simple coke?
  • I have no patience. I tend to play the sweepstakes rather than accrue points for the long-term items. My personal fail.
  • 75 points per week…So does that mean Monday to Monday. What day does the week start with? I’ll have to send a matey over to gather some intel on this.
  • A small bottle at my convenience store is only worth 1 point…omgosh, you have to enter such a long freaking code for 1 point. The soda cost me about $1.69…you would think that alone would make it worth at least 2 points

Pro wins! So yes, I have played my 75 points for this week and plan to play again next week.
